Lobby meeting and follow-up with relevant Govt. Departments is held on 10^th of December 2024. In the Organize of UDAYAN – Bangladesh, SSF Gender Mainstreaming Governance in Ecosystem-based Coastal and Traditional Aquaculture Fishery Management Project conducted by Coast Foundation. This meeting is implemented by the program officer, Meghla Zaman. The department that we have today is discussed about to get all services from the Upazila Agriculture office in detail.

The Lobby meeting is performed with the presence of Divisional Director, Sankar Kumar Mojumder Upazilla Agriculture officer, Tanmoy Dutta, Agriculture Extension Officer, Sheikh Nymur Rashid Lekhon SSFGM Project Officer, Meghla Zaman and Upazilla Committee Leaders.

Agriculture officer, Tanmoy Dutta discusses in detail how to adapt climate change, how to grow vegetables, and which crops can be cultivated in which season. He discusses that sack cultivation which can be very profitable and how women can become empowered. Not only semi-cultivation but also cultivating any vegetable, women can meet their family’s nutritional needs at home and earn money to improve the family’s income.

Divitional director Shankar Kumar Mazumdar asks one of the committee leaders, Razia Sultana about the services of UDAYAN- Bangladesh which they get. Every leader’s notion is positive towards UDAYAN- Bangladesh services. Sheikh Nymur Rashid Lekhon who is newly joined in the Upazila Agriculture Office, asks everyone’s problem individually and gives the guidelines.

Finally, Meghla Zaman, the program officer thanks everyone and announces the end of the meeting.
